in particular captured the attention of Jean-Pierre Nicolas, Clarins’ ethnobotanist, during one of

his trips to Madagascar: the leaf of life and its succulent leaves which, despite the many changes

in temperature the plant is exposed to, remain full of water. “Leaf of life” was given its name by

Madagascans because it’s a plant essential for life, just as water is essential for a woman’s beauty. It

represents a new chapter in Clarins story of bio-inspiration.
